You get what u pay for. Basic hotel. Airport pick up worked good.

Best days of this place and as well as the whole surrounding area are in the past. Hotel is pretty rundown in all areas. Food and service was very basic. Ok for 1-2 days, if you are looking for a place for longer u might be better of somewhere else.

Very cheap! probably the best value for money in the area. Free transportation to the beach and marina possible. Friendly staff

Very helpful guy working at the bar, as well as the employee who accompanies to the sea. Comfortable beds, air conditioners in the room. Water for free.

Food is the same every day, very little fruits. There is no air conditioning in the reception and everywhere else. Wifi is only available at the reception.

Good place with a good value. staff is nice and friendly. and they have a very good diving center "sambo" Mr.s3od, and special thanks to all reception front office staff and sea staff Ali & Ahmed, and it will not be the only visit to this hotel.

The beach had limited parasols so you might get the hotel bus there (a very easy trip) and have to be in the sun

Close to airport budged accomodation

Great customer service and reception going above to help resolve a problem I had.

Remote location, to see Marina you need to take a free shuttle bus. Finding a taxi to come back it the evening was problematic.

Good budget, overnight stop.

We just wanted a budget friendly room for the night, close to the port. It’s basic but we paid very little so it represented excellent value. Outdoor BBQ with all the usual trimmings and a very good breakfast. Hot shower and clean towels, pool towels also provided.

Nowhere to walk about really.

Very Good

This is a very budget friendly hotel and the facilities are quite humble. However, I can tell that the property management really put an effort to add value: breakfast was included in the price, and they offer transfers to the beach during the day and the marina in the evening. The reception manager did a great job welcoming me, and he took good care of me by offering information and trying to solve all the inquiries I had. I enjoy walking rather than taking a taxi, so it was really not a big deal to get to the marina. Besides, you can find reasonably priced places to eat and supermarkets next to the hotel. Breakfast is simple, but there's still a lot to choose from, and they can prepare an omlet for you upon request. It was definitely a good stay for the money I paid.

The price of the hotel is cheap, so you can expect some stains on the bed linen even though it's washed and an old bathroom. Also, I really struggled with the door lock as it was quite old too and difficult to open. But it has the essentials, like a hot shower was definitely a big plus. Unfortunately, WiFi can only be accessed in the lobby, but it has quite a big sitting area, so you can use the Internet there. What I don't like is when the staff who help with luggage and clean the room openly ask for tips. I believe it should be up to the guest to decide on that. Even though you get a transfer to the beach, it's located quite far in an isolated place. So if you wish to leave before the driver comes back, it wouldn't be easy. It was so windy on that beach as the place was quite exposed, and there's no infrastructure around. Unfortunately, I had to leave immediately as it was January, and I felt cold. There are other beaches in the area you can go to by taxi that have facilities and are located in a harbour to avoid wind, but with an entrance fee. Overall, it's a good property for a budget traveller and if you're looking for a short stay.

Would not recommend

Buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner available. Quite affordable. Nice reception with comfortable spots to read/work.

Lunch starts late (1pm), staff did not seem very nice, shower water was not very clean and beds also (found hairs when i remove the sheets). Port ghalib in general is way too westernised. Wifi only available in reception.
